Ovarian Cysts Can Reach Giant Sizes In The Abdomen
Ovarian cysts can reach giant sizes in the abdomen. Today I would like to share a post about how we remove cystic masses of 20-30 cm from a 3-4 cm incision with our own technique.
We enter the abdomen through a mini (3-4cm) incision similar to a cesarean section incision.< / li>
We aspirate (pull out)the liquid content of the cyst so that it does not get into the abdomen.< / li>
When the diameter of the 20-30 cm cyst shrinks from 3-4 cm enough to go out of the abdomen, we take the mass out.< / li>
We separate the cyst from the ovary by taking all measures to prevent infection outside again.< / li>
We repair the remaining ovarian tissue and send it back into the abdomen.< / li>
By inflating the abdomen with CO2 gas through a 3-4 cm incision, we enter the abdomen with a camera (laparoscope) and take an image.< / li>
If we encounter a suspicious structure or a surprise result comes in the frozen examination, we switch to classical laparoscopy and continue the necessary procedures.< / li>
As a result, instead of a large incision of 30 cm, we complete the patient's operation with a mini-cosmetic incision of 3-4 cm.< / li>
